Dear ARNAA Members and Colleagues,
Warm greetings, and welcome to 2026!
It is with great pleasure that I invite you to attend the first ARNAA meeting of 2026, as we gather to reconnect, reflect, and set the tone for an exciting year ahead.
Date: Friday, 27 February 2026
Time: 4:00 pm (Sydney time)
As we begin this year, we also take a moment to warmly welcome our new members. ARNAA has continued to grow in strength and reach, and we are now proud to be one of the largest Indigenous and African academic networks in Australia. This growth reflects the collective commitment, excellence, and generosity of our members.
Our research themes have continued to make us proud, with strong collaborative work, meaningful outputs, and increasing visibility across institutions and disciplines. In 2026, we have several exciting activities and initiatives planned, and this meeting is an opportunity to share these plans, hear from you, and strengthen the connections that make ARNAA such a vibrant community.
This meeting is not just about updates—it is about connection. We want to hear your ideas, learn what you are working on, and explore opportunities to collaborate, mentor, and support one another across career stages.
We also kindly ask that you share this invitation with other Africans in Australia who may not yet be aware of ARNAA but have a passion for academia, research, teaching, or community engagement. Our strength lies in growing together.
We look forward to seeing you, welcoming new faces, and starting 2026 with energy, purpose, and a shared vision.
