Dr Ahmed Moustafa
Dr. Ahmed Moustafa is a Professor of Psychology. He specializes in Computational Modeling at the School of Psychology, Bond University, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Before he became a lab director at Western Sydney University, Ahmed spent 11 years in the USA. During that time, he worked on several psychology and neuroscience projects. Ahmed conducts research on mental health and big data analytics. He has published over 290 papers in high-ranking journals. These include Science, PNAS, Journal of Neuroscience, and Brain. He has also contributed to Neuroscience and Biobehavioral Reviews, Nature (Parkinson’s disease), Neuron, among others. Ahmed has recently published ten books. They include (1) Computational models of brain and behavior; (2) Social Cognition in Psychosis, (3) computational Neuroscience Models of the Basal Ganglia, (4) Cognitive, Clinical, and Neural Aspects of Drug Addiction; (5) The Nature of Depression: An updated review; (6) Big data in psychiatry and neurology; and (7) Alzheimer’s Disease: Understanding Biomarkers, Big Data, and Therapy. Elsevier; (8) Cognitive and Behavioral Dysfunction in Schizophrenia; (9) Female Pioneers from Ancient Egypt and the Middle East; and (10) Mental health effects of COVID-19. In the last 10 years, Ahmed has published collaboratively with 71 colleagues. He has more than 510 co-authors from 35 institutions. These collaborators are spread across 14 countries. Ahmed is now editor-in-chief of Discover Psychology, a new journal by Springer Nature.
Dr Pascal Agbadi
Dr. Pascal Agbadi is a lecturer with a Research Focus at James Cook University, Cairns, Australia. Dr Agbadi has an interdisciplinary background in social work, health promotion, sociology, and social policy. His research focuses on the intersection of health, migration and climate change. He is skilled in both quantitative and qualitative research methods. He has expertise and experience in conducting Monitoring, Learning, and Evaluation (MLE) projects.
